Now, Schroder enters the ring for himself, playing an aging boxer in one segment of the anthology film “Locker 13,” produced by Brothers’ Ink Productions. The feature, along the lines of "Four Rooms," "Short Cuts," and "Night on Earth," is comprised of seven vignettes, each to be directed by award-winning filmmakers and connected by a mysterious locker number 13.
One of those directors will be
Schroder himself, who is also serving as a producer on the film. “Ricky joins an

Brothers’ Ink Productions has produced an impressive library of short films since its formation in 2003, racking up numerous awards, including a Rocky Mountain Emmy® in 2007 for its short film, “Reveille.” Now, with “Locker 13,” Brothers’ Ink Productions hopes to bring that same brand of quality to its first feature-length film. “The production has really grown in scope,” Montierth says, “and we have been very pleased with the level of talent and craft this project has attracted.”
Fresh off a recurring role on the hit Fox series “24,” Ricky Schroder recently starred in A&E’s “The Andromeda Strain,” the highest rated mini-series for cable in 2008, and wrapped production on “Blood Done Sign My Name,” an independent feature film written and directed by Jeb Stuart. He joins Tatyana Ali, Steve Easton, Jon Polito and Alma® Award winning actor Jesse Garcia in the segment “Down and Out.” It’s the first segment of “Locker 13” to begin shooting and was written by John Waldron and Nicholl Fellowship winner Cameron Young.
“Down and Out” is being directed by Matthew Mebane who’s short film Tackle Box was invited to over 40 film festivals in 2004, winning over 10 awards including the audience award for best short at Slamdance. Cinematography is by Academy Award® winner Russell Carpenter, ASC. Russell Carpenter won the Academy® Award for Titanic.
Brothers’ Ink Productions will continue to add cast and crew for the remaining six segments of “Locker 13,” which are scheduled for production during the next couple of months. The website www.Locker13.com is set up to accept submissions and will document the entire production process until the film’s release next year.

They started this month by
opening up a call for 10-15 page screenplays all linked by a common theme, in
this case, a locker number13. “What’s in
Locker 13?” Executive Producer John Waldron poses this question and answers
with, “You tell us. The locker could be anywhere, a school, an airport, a bus
station, it doesn’t matter. All that matters is your story and how you use the
Locker 13 within the story.”
In April, Brothers’ Ink
Productions created the website www.locker13.com to accept submissions for the
screenplays. Their intention is to build a community around the film and to
encourage anyone interested in film production to become a part of this
project. “The idea is revolutionary,” Director Adam Montierth says, “in that
anyone can be a part of this whether you’re an aspiring writer, actor, crew
member or musician. We want everyone to get involved and be a part of this and
to really contribute to a film created straight from the audience themselves.”
In the upcoming months, Locker 13 will be accepting submissions for actors,
crew members and for music by local bands or singer songwriters. The website
will document the entire process along the way until the film gets released
early next year.
