Webb Pickersgill is a Telly and Davey award winning Cinematographer and
Editor working in Phoenix, AZ. In 2004 he started his company,
Bassline Digital, LLC to provide video production services to
companies. In early 2005 he left the comfort of his full-time job as a
network engineer and systems developer to work in video production full
time. Over the next few years, in addition to working video production
jobs for corporate clients, he also worked as a cinematographer and
editor on several short films. In 2006 he registered for the IFP 48
hour film challenge, and directed his team to 1st place for the film
“Silhouette.” Now, his resume is filled with experience as a director,
producer, editor, cinematographer and Steadicam operator, for short
films, TV shows, and feature films. Most recently he completed
cinematography and editing two feature film projects, "Running on
Empty" and "Match dot Dead", cinematography and editing on a short film
“Probed” which is premiering at the International Horror Sci-Fi Film
Festival in October 2008, and directed a short film "Appetite for
Justice" which won 1st Place in the 2008 IFP/Phx 48 Hour Film
Challenge. More than just working in the industry, Webb enjoys
learning, discussing, sharing, and teaching the things he has learned
with others, so enjoys volunteering his time teaching kids and giving
seminars about video and film production.
